Free Weights for Teens

This seven-week strength-training program is designed for teens who want to learn basic lifts and improve their athletic abilities in a safe environment. Our program focuses on building foundational skills that can be applied across various sports in addition to specialized training practices. We’ll work on cleans, squats, deadlifts and additional supporting drills with an emphasis on proper technique and injury prevention. Pull-up and Push-up Training for Women

East YMCA

Women of all ages, fitness levels and body types will build upper body strength through body weight pushing and pulling exercises. In this 12-week program, participants will advance through stages of difficulty with the goal of completing full pull-ups and push-ups. The class gets suggested homework to do on a third day of the week because in order to see real strength gains, two to three workouts per week are necessary.
