Summer Camp
Few environments are as special as camp.
Kids become a community as they learn both independence and teamwork through engaging physical, social and educational activities. Our camps teach self-reliance and the development of attitudes and practices that build character, leadership and friendships. It’s all done amidst the fun of sports, theater, games, outdoor adventure, talent shows and meaningful relationships. Our state-licensed Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper!

Club Cardinal
In partnership with Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry, this camp works as wrap-around care during the weeks of summer school and as full-day camp when summer school isn’t in session. We’ll fill our days with projects, activities, games, swimming and field trips and engage and motivate campers to make new friends, enjoy nature and continue learning throughout the summer.
This camp is for ages 5-13.
Location: Monday-Thursday drop-off and pick-up during summer school weeks will be at your summer school location, and the program will run part-day from 1:00-5:30 pm. On Fridays and non-summer school weeks, it will be at Creekside Elementary from 7:30 am-5:30 pm.

Discovery Day Camp
We’re forecasting an entire summer of fun on the East Side! Our camp is a hub of activity, and kids stay active and engaged. Every day, campers rotate through games on our field, creative activity tents, tetherball, the Ga Ga pit, sports and more. We take regular trips to a nearby park, swim at least once a week at the East Y and go on weekly field trips.
Camp is for ages 5-13 and runs 7:30 am-5:30 pm daily

Discovery Day Camp
Give your child a true outdoor experience this summer as they explore all that nature has to offer. Rain or shine, campers hike, catch crayfish in our creek, build forts in their territories, enjoy s’mores around the campfire and create awesome art projects! Of course we’ll play games, make new friends, learn new skills and work on character development, too. Kindergarten completion required.
This camp is for ages 5-13 and runs 7:30 am-5:30 pm.
Location: Sun Prairie Lion’s Club, 7080 Elder Lane, Sun Prairie. (Camp moves to Royal Oaks Elementary in bad weather.)

Discovery Day Camp

Kindergarten Camp
Summer is a time for fun and adventure, but it can be hard to keep your kids engaged. Kindergarten Camp is busy every day…from outdoor play to messy art, and wow-worthy science experiments. Summer Camp activities make each day the most memorable one yet!

Verona Summer School Camp
In partnership with the Verona Area School District, the YMCA is excited to offer a half-day camp during summer school. It amounts to full-day care for your kiddo, and we can’t think of anything better than some fun in the sun after learning in summer school! Campers will participate in group activities, create and experiment with art, learn new skills and create lasting memories and friendships. Campers must be enrolled in VASD summer school programs to attend.
Registration for this camp will open the same time that VASD opens summer school enrollment, so that date is TBD. If you would like to secure your spot you can register for these dates in our DDC program and then we can transfer the registration to this camp once it opens.
Location: Campers will be bussed from summer school to the Y’s camp location at Stoner Prairie Elementary. Pick-up is at the camp location by 5:30 pm each day.
