Our instructional program for ages 5-12 leverages a fun approach to teaching basic fundamentals and skills using structured drills and game play. Our goal is to establish a foundation for success for all participants regardless of skill level or future aspirations in the sport.

Ages 5-6 play on 8-foot hoops; 7-9 year-olds use 9-foot hoops; and ages 10-12 play on 10-foot hoops.

Develop fundamentals and put your skills to use through small games of 3v3 game play. This program is designed for kids that want to continue to play basketball through the summer months and develop more basic fundamental skills of the game. We will meet once a week for 6 weeks at the Sun Prairie YMCA. The first 45 mimutes of the program will be skill building, the remaining 30 minutes will be 3v3 game play.

Our 3v3 summer beginner-level leagues for boys and girls focus on skill development, teamwork and most of all, fun! The program stresses basic basketball fundamentals, teams are composed of no more than 12 players and team t-shirts are included. Volunteer coaches needed!

The season consists of two weeks of practice followed by four weeks of game play. Game times vary from week to week, but will not start before 5 pm. Schedules and rosters will be sent via email one week prior to the start of the program. Team or coach requests are not guaranteed for late registrations.

Depending upon enrollment, East, West and Sun Prairie leagues may be combined, so some travel may be required.
