YMCA Sports programs give kids an opportunity to have fun and learn. It can be our secret that sports play an important role in the physical and mental development of children. By playing sports, children develop physical skills, get exercise, make new friends, have fun and learn to be good team members.
Dodgeball
Kids will expend some energy in this fast-paced game as they maneuver around the gym! Dodgeball helps develop hand-eye coordination, balance, flexibility and many other skills that transfer to other sports. With an emphasis on fun and safety, our dodgeball class is a great way for youth to engage in extra physical activity. For ages 8-12.

Dry Land Strength and Conditioning for Swim
This program for boys/girls in ages 11-20 and is designed to not only advance the skills of the athletes, but to teach them how to properly train their bodies over time while building a positive relationship with the work. During the training program, we aim to increase your athlete’s strength, conditioning, flexibility and performance abilities.
We will work on speed, plyometrics and bodyweight training, as well as teaching proper mechanics and warm ups and cool downs all while focusing on sport specific instruction to better perform in the pool!
Our training program is a 7 week program meeting twice a week and will be taught by our fitness staff.

Preschool Sports of All Sorts
Participants will learn basic skills in sports such as gymnastics, soccer, t-ball and more. We will focus on teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun! Parent involvement may be required. For ages 3-5.

Youth Strength and Conditioning
This program for boys/girls in grades 4-8 is designed to not only advance the skills of the athletes, but to teach them how to properly train their bodies over time while building camaraderie with their teammates. During the training program, we aim to increase your athlete’s strength, conditioning, agility and performance abilities.
We will work on speed and footwork, plyometrics and bodyweight training, as well as teaching proper mechanics and warm ups and cool downs all while building positive relationships with our team to reach a common goal!
Our training program is a 7 week program meeting twice a week and will be taught by our fitness staff.
Option A: Monday’s and Wednesday’s, April 14 – May 28; 5:00-5:45pm in the West Y Fitness Box
Option B: Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, April 15 – May 29; 5:00-5:45pm in the West Y Fitness Box.
